A fantastic day at the Care Show 2025! 🌟

We left feeling inspired by the innovation, energy, and community across the care sector. From insightful talks and cutting-edge tech to meeting passionate care professionals, it was a brilliant reminder of how strong and forward-thinking our sector is.

The event also highlighted key challenges; workforce pressures, recruitment, funding, and rising expectations, but seeing so many people share solutions, ideas and support reminded us that together, we can overcome them through collaboration, creativity, and compassion. 💙

Barnfield Homecare took part in Macmillan Coffee Morning on Wednesday, and we’re proud to share that we’ve raised an amazing £363 so far! 💚

Happy 105th Birthday to our lovely Maura! 🎂

Maura was recently surprised with a lovely celebration at Holy Trinity Church, Stratford-upon-Avon complete with sandwiches, scones, and sweet treats. She was overjoyed to see her friends, neighbours, and family waiting for her. 🥰 She enjoyed it so much she didn’t want to put her scone down for photos, and we don’t blame her!

Maura’s century-spanning life includes service in the WAAF during WWII, a long Civil Service career in London, and a happy retirement in Stratford. She’s a devoted Catholic, proud Ireland rugby fan, wonderful aunt, baker of legendary rock cakes, and dog lover - especially of her beloved spaniel, Tippy.

A huge thank you to The Parish Office Team, Maura’s loved ones, and our Barnfield team for making this a day to remember. ❤️

A Stratford resident who saw King George VI and the future Queen Elizabeth II on VE Day has celebrated her 105th birthday.

We’re walking 400 miles for Alzheimer's Society 💙

From 1st July to 1st August, our team is coming together to take on a 400-mile walking challenge!

At Barnfield Homecare, we see the impact of dementia every day, In the lives of our clients, their families, and even our own loved ones. So for every mile walked, we’ll donate £2.50 to the Alzheimer’s Society, that’s up to £1,000 for an incredible cause.

Our carers have been tracking their steps daily, and even some of our amazing clients are getting involved - staying active and proving that age and ability are no barrier.

It’s Carers Week 2025!

We’re joining thousands across the UK to recognise and celebrate the incredible work of unpaid carers. This year's theme, “Caring About Equality,” highlights the very real challenges unpaid carers face every day. From financial strain and isolation, to missed opportunities in work and education.

🧡 Carers give so much of themselves, often without recognition or support. That’s why this week, we’re raising our voices to say: Carers deserve better.

👥 Let’s stand together and show carers that their efforts matter, and that they deserve the same chances as everyone else.

A huge well done to our incredible team!

This Saturday, they completed the Cancer Research UK Race for Life and have raised an amazing £809 (so far!) to support life-saving cancer research. 💗

It was a chilly morning, but the team’s determination and energy shone through as they walked and ran in honour of those affected by cancer. We’re so proud of everyone who took part, and so grateful for all the support and donations.

Happy 105th Birthday to our lovely Lilian! 🎉

When we asked Lilian what she’d like to do for her birthday, she cheekily said she wanted to go out… and stay out! So we organised a surprise afternoon tea at Warton Village Hall, complete with sandwiches, sweet treats, and plenty of love. It was a wonderful afternoon with her family and friends - a memory we hope Lilian and her loved ones will cherish forever.

Lilian is a gentle, kind-hearted woman adored by her carers. She left school at 14, served six years in the Army, and still enjoys getting out into the garden when the sun is shining. She’s known for offering chocolates or cakes to the team. And her secret to a long, happy life? Plenty of sleep!

A big thank you to Warton Village Hall for hosting us, Christopher's & The Peel Aldergate for providing the lovely tea sets, and our amazing team for bringing it all together! It was a true community effort, and a day we’ll all remember.
