A recent commission was to at a farm looking to ensure its on going viability. We were asked locate the best extraction point for potable water for a possible woodland retreat eco-development.

Two locations were identified through dowsing and amongst other things for current seasonality and future flows given climate change.

A second phase study may be to locate through dowsing techniques the optimum positions of the pods

Black magic...? A water diviner works along a section of the Grand Union Canal, attempting to pinpoint the exact location of a leak in the clay lining of the canal bed. As the original caption explains, when canals run along embankments or across gravel or sandy ground, water is held in place by a ‘clay puddle’ lining.

Much of canal maintenance involves repairing leaks in this clay layer, which can be worn away by boat hulls scraping along the sides. When a leak occurs, its source is often difficult to locate.

Here, the diviner follows the seepage from where water bubbles up through the ground, his rod bending only when held over running water
