At Catchpole court we celebrated Burns Night with a tasting session of haggis and shortbread! 😍

Wee had bagpipes playing in the background and ruth brought the haggis into the room.

Vincent was the speaker and cut the haggis as he use to live in Scotland! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Catchpole set up all the bird feeders and all sat watching at the window to take part in the RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch! 🐦‍⬛

Not a bird in sight but this naughty boy came along and begun to show us his skills, hanging from the bird feeder 🤣💜

We came together to make sausage rolls 🥐

Residents helped skin the sausages, roll the sausage meat onto the pastry and brush with egg white before they were taken to the kitchen to bake. While we waited, we enjoyed a singalong to the old time favourite Daisy Daisy 🎶

Once ready, we sat down with tea and coffee to enjoy warm sausage rolls together ☕️

Blue Monday turned into a feel good day at Catchpole Court 💜

The dancefloor was busy, voices were loud, and spirits were high as residents enjoyed a singalong and a dance with their favourite singers, Good Fortunes 🎶💃

Proof that music, movement, and shared moments lift the mood every time ✨

Celebrating Pongal together at Catchpole Court Nursing Home 🎶🇮🇳

Our wonderful team members Vivek and Sumi hosted a special Pongal celebration, sharing their culture with residents and colleagues alike. The afternoon was filled with traditional music, colourful dress and a selection of delicious sweet treats for everyone to enjoy.

Residents took part in themed activities, listened to the music playing in the background and soaked up the warm, joyful atmosphere.

A lovely afternoon of celebration, connection and shared experiences at Catchpole Court 💜

A Friday afternoon shaped entirely by our residents 🌳✨

At Catchpole Court Nursing Home, our activities are all about choice and listening to what matters most. Residents created their own Wish Tree, each writing a personal wish and placing it on the branches - sharing hopes, ideas and things they’d love to do or see.

Afterwards, the afternoon continued with mosaic making, followed by tea and sweet treats to finish the week on a relaxed, creative note. A perfect way to spend time together.

Now comes the important part - working through those wishes and doing everything we can to help make them happen 💜

Many of our resident came together and played a game of scrabble, all residents were very engaged with helping each other make different words.

Following a game of scrabble we then made some fruit kebabs and had a little quiz on fresh fruits, our residents feedback was very positive! 🥝🍌

A big thank you to Bits and Blocks, a small family-run business, for gifting Catchpole Court Nursing Home a wonderful Lego set 🧱✨

We spent the afternoon following the instructions and building the figures together — lots of focus, teamwork, and fun all round 😊

We really appreciated the kind gift and thoroughly enjoyed the activity 💜
