It’s hard to pinpoint my very first paranormal experience… when you’ve been seeing and sensing spirit since childhood, it all starts to blur into one. Back then, I didn’t understand that what I had was mediumship — I just knew I could see and communicate with the those who have passed.

But there’s one experience that has never left me.

Years ago, when I lived in York, I lived in a Grade II listed house — full of character… and, as I later realised, full of energy too.

I would often see a woman by the log fire, calmly cooking, sometimes moving about as if she were still living her daily life. At the time, I didn’t question it as much as you’d think — it just became something I accepted.

The bedroom I slept in was always freezing cold. No matter what I did, it never felt warm or comfortable… like something lingered in the air.

One night, I heard what I thought was my son upstairs. Naturally, I went to check on him. As I walked into the room, I noticed my partner’s shirt hanging on the wardrobe door… but something felt off. I brushed it aside and went to check on my son first.

As I turned to leave, something made me look back.

The shirt… one of the arms was lifted. Not swaying, not moving with a breeze — but raised, almost as if something was holding it, pointing toward the corner of the room.

I froze.

Trying to rationalise it, I quickly stepped out. But when I glanced back again… both sleeves were raised, moving in that same unnatural way.

There were no windows open. No drafts. Nothing to explain what I was seeing.

At that moment, I genuinely thought I was losing my mind.

I turned to leave — and that’s when I saw her.

A little girl, quietly hiding behind my son’s cot.

That house was never quiet after that. The activity continued until the day I moved… and if I’m honest, it never really stopped. Every home I’ve lived in since has had its own energy, its own presence.

Now I understand my gift. As a medium and paranormal investigator, I know I don’t just find spirit… they find me too.

And looking back, I realise… they always have 🤍✨

Life as a psychic medium is something that’s hard to fully explain… but I’ll try 🤍✨

For me, this isn’t something I can just switch on and off. I connect through all of my clair senses — seeing, hearing, feeling, and knowing — so when spirit comes through, it’s not just messages… it’s full experiences.

And the thing is… they don’t exactly wait for a convenient moment 😅

I could be sat in my car, walking around the supermarket, or even in the shower — and suddenly, there they are. Sometimes it can be quite funny (yes, spirit really does have a sense of humour), but other times it can feel a little… intrusive. Imagine trying to do your food shop while someone in spirit is persistently tapping in like, “Excuse me… I have something important to say.” 😂

They can be incredibly determined too. If they have a message to get across, they don’t always just pop in and leave — they can hang around for days until that message finds where it’s meant to go.

I work with both people and animal spirits, and one of the most beautiful parts of what I do is experiencing their unique personalities. They’re still them — their quirks, their love, their energy — it all comes through so clearly, and I absolutely love being able to communicate that.

But I’ll be honest… it can also be draining.

Spirit uses my energy to connect, and because I feel their emotions so deeply, it’s not just communication — it’s experiencing. Their love, their longing, their memories… and sometimes their sadness and pain too. When this happens every single day, it takes a lot of grounding and self-care to stay balanced.

I also want to say this — every medium experiences this differently. No two mediums work the same way, and this is simply my personal journey.

Even with the challenges, I truly love what I do. Being able to give evidence, bring comfort, and help create peace and closure for people… it means everything to me.

So yes… sometimes I get unexpected visitors in the most random places 😄 but if it means helping someone feel close to their loved one again, it will always be worth it 🤍

What we do, how we connect, and clearing up common myths.

Mediumship is the ability to connect and communicate with loved ones who have passed into the spirit world. For many people, a reading is not about curiosity — it’s about healing. It’s about hearing from someone they miss deeply and receiving messages, memories, and evidence that their loved ones are still around them in spirit.

As an evidential medium, my role is to bring forward clear evidence from spirit so that the person receiving the reading knows exactly who is communicating. This might be memories, personality traits, shared experiences, or personal details that only they and their loved one would recognise. Evidence helps confirm the identity of the spirit communicator and allows the person receiving the reading to trust the connection.

Mediumship isn’t about performing or trying to impress people. It’s about connection, comfort, healing, and reminding people that love continues even after someone has passed.

✨ Not All Mediums Work the Same Way
One of the biggest misconceptions about mediumship is that every medium connects with spirit in the same way. The truth is that each medium works differently.
Some mediums see images.
Some hear words or names.
Some feel emotions or physical sensations.
Others simply know information without being told how.
Many mediums work with a mixture of abilities, and spirit will often communicate in the way the medium is best able to receive.
