Why consider Dry January?
Even a short break from alcohol can help:

Improve sleep quality and energy levels
Support liver health
Lower blood pressure
Improve mood and concentration
Help with weight management
Encourage a healthier relationship with alcohol
Many people also find that cutting out alcohol saves money and boosts motivation to make other positive lifestyle changes.

Is Dry January for everyone?
Dry January is a personal choice. You don’t need to drink heavily to benefit from taking a break, but if you have concerns about alcohol dependence or withdrawal symptoms, it’s important to seek medical advice before stopping suddenly.

Today marks world diabetes awareness day. This coincides with the birthday of Sir Fredrick Banting who co discovered insulin in 1922. The research into diabetes and insulin has come along way since then. World diabetes awareness day highlights the importance of knowing the signs and symptoms.
