At some point you have to be honest with yourself.
Constantly thinking about work when youâre supposed to be resting, checking emails âjust in caseâ, carrying everything in your head even when youâre off is not dedication.
Thatâs a nervous system that doesnât know how to switch off. Iâm not saying that to judge you - Iâve lived it, it was my reality for the longest time.
I told myself I was just being responsible or committed. Showing that I was reliable. But underneath it all, I was depleted, always âonâ, and slowly burning out.
So if youâre watching or reading this thinking âthis is just how it isâŚâ I want you to know itâs not.
Youâve just normalised a version of you thatâs constantly holding everything together in spite of what you need for yourself, and itâs costing you more than you realise.
