It has some cool posters showing people kids might look up ( Chris Packham is my fave ) who are neuro diverse themselves. I know when i am in sessions i try and normalise CYP experiences and share I definitely have something going on myself ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ’— ๐Ÿ™ƒ๐Ÿ‘

In a session today we talked about the difference between being a PEOPLE PLEASER and being ASSERTIVE

I thought it would be good to share.

๐Ÿ’—people pleaser

say yes so as not to upset or risk fear of rejection, hurt or criticism

Nice

self neglect as you are left feel disempowered

leaves you feeling unseen and unheard

๐Ÿ’—Assertive

calmly comminicates needs, says no without apology or guilt

Real๏ฟผ open

Self respect and self care as you feel more empowered

feel seen and heard

Do you have areas in your life you could work on being more assertive

Here's something I do when I notice my mood dip

๐Ÿ’—P O S I T I V E A F F I R M A T I O N S๐Ÿ’—

๐Ÿ’—Great for increasing self esteem

๐Ÿ’—may change outcomes

๐Ÿ’—Reduces fear , stress and anxiety

๐Ÿ’—increases positive self talk and mood

๐Ÿ’—Promotes positive coping

๐Ÿ’— Try it for a few days (consistency is key!) and let me know how you find it. I also find saying the ones that mean something to me help me more, as i find myself agreeing with them in my mind . Its quite a funny conversation I have up there with myself ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ’—
