And now that's out of the way...

There is a snobbery in the science world around complementary therapies.

And I do get that.

Without taking anything away from therapists who practice the more 'new age' stuff,
(some of them are incredible healers)
well,
some of it isn't grounded in measurable science.

As I always say - if you can't measure it - how can you know if it is working?

My background is in the measurable stuff.
Biomechanics, manual therapy, sports and illness rehabilitation, personal training, sports coaching.

I've walked the hard miles (ran a lot of them) and gained the qualifications and experience for a strong foundation to build from.

However.
It would be arrogant to suggest that therapies that have worked for people over thousands of years should be swept aside.

Anything that lasts through the millennia - with people adamant that they've been helped by them,
well those things deserve investigation.

And over the past few years, I have investigated them.
I've studied, in depth, with the top complementary minds - and the results are exciting.

True - some things seem to be little more than placebo but others ... well, the medical establishment may be missing an important trick.

Complementary is just that.
The ancient practices that holistically treat the whole person, beautifully complement modern medicine.

They work together to bring faster, more fundamental, and lasting change.
We all know that your mood, your mind, and your feelings create a massive effect in your state of health and your well-being.

I've applied my science background and fine-tuned a complementary toolkit that feels like magic when it's applied in the right way.

But the way I do it is measurable - it's measured in results.

With athletes like Big Rob - it means he can train harder, go heavier and stay injury free with confidence.

What if I said that an althlete like Rob could lift 20% more, by applying an alchemy of cutting-edge science and ancient therapies?

It's true - and I can prove it with data.

Hard to be snobbish about that, right?

One of my master's degrees (I know, I'm sorry) was in Biomechanics.

What really got the nerd in me excited, was learning more about our feet, and how important footcare is.

And how when our feet are compromised, the knock-on effect can be a sore back.
(no-one tells you this!)

So a little tip from my eBook.

Kick off your Shoes.
Go on - do it now...

How much time do you spend in shoes each day?
Humans are not actually designed to wear shoes at all.

Fun Facts
Each of our feet has 26 bones.
Between them - they contain over a 1/4 of our entire bones.

Each bone needs ligaments and tendons attached to them.
so that they can move or be moved.

This helps distribute the load, vibration and pressure.
In each foot, there are 33 ligaments.

Now... why would you want to put anything in the way of all of these great structures from doing what they are meant to do?

So a quick way to start being kind to your back is to go barefoot whenever possible (walk on grass for an extra boost)

Sorry to nag but.
DO. THE. HOMEWORK.

I've lost count of the times I've spoken to people who have paid money to see an expert,

and then with a naughty schoolchild face admitted that they 'weren't doing the exercises set for them'.

We diagnose you, work out how to help, and teach you what to do
- we start you off,

but ultimately - it's you, and the time you put in afterwards that will get you better.

You have to do it - there's no way around it.
Otherwise, you just won't get better as fast as or well as you should.

And if it's MY patient.
I would know.

They wouldn't have to tell me.
I'd see it in their lack of progress.
