We had a wonderful visit from the lovely Rosie on Friday, who had us all singing and dancing along! 🎶✨

The room was full of smiles, toe-tapping and great energy; thank you Rosie for such a fantastic afternoon of entertainment. We can’t wait to have you back for our Theatre Afternoon! 💛

Our Takeaway Club last week was a firm favourite as residents chose the classic fish & chips! 🐟🍟

Everyone enjoyed eating together in the cinema room with good food, good company and plenty of chat. Sometimes the classics really are the best! 💛

Residents enjoyed a lovely trip down memory lane during our reminiscing session in the café last week. We looked through pictures from the 1950s and 1960s and had some wonderful conversations about what everyone remembered from those times. 💭✨

We had a lovely furry visitor last week as Bert the dog came in to help us celebrate Love Your Pet Day! 🐶✨

Bert made his way around all units, spreading smiles wherever he went and enjoying plenty of well-deserved cuddles and fuss from our residents. It was wonderful to see so many happy faces and hear all the lovely stories about residents’ own beloved pets. 💛

Thank you, Bert, for brightening our day; you are welcome back anytime! 🐾🥰

What a truly unforgettable celebration for our amazing Hilda’s 100th birthday!

We were honoured to welcome Madam Mayor, who presented Hilda with a beautiful bouquet, which was such a special moment 💐

Hilda was also delighted to open her birthday card from His Majesty the King, and received some lovely flowers from Dawn and the Orchid❤️

The celebrations continued with a stunning cake from Chef Dale, and a fantastic performance from Ukebox Jury, who had everyone smiling, singing and soaking up the party atmosphere 🎶

Thank you to everyone who helped make Hilda’s big day so magical. What a wonderful celebration for an incredible lady 🥰

What do you do when you turn 100?… You pull a pint of course! 🍺✨

When asked how she wanted to celebrate her very special birthday, our wonderful Hilda knew exactly what she wanted - to return to the Shield & Dagger Pub, where she used to work, and get back behind the bar one more time.

And that’s exactly what we did ❤️

Hilda pulled her pint, surrounded by cheers, and lots of memories being shared. A truly meaningful moment and the perfect way to honour such an incredible milestone.

A huge thank you to Cat and the team at the Shield & Dagger for giving Hilda such a warm welcome 🥰
