Did you know that defibrillator pads have expiry dates?

We've just ordered replacements for ours to ensure it's always ready to help if someone in our community needs it.

We've also registered our defibrillator on The Circuit, a national defib database, so the emergency services can direct 999 callers to its location. The Circuit also sends us timely reminders when pads need replacing and the equipment testing.

Got a defibrillator at your workplace or club? Make sure you check the pads and batteries.

Today marks one year since the passing of our former MD, Nick Evans. Our team have spent the day together informally, sharing stories and remembering Nick’s life and legacy.

Nick was an amazing leader, liked and respected by everyone who worked with him. His commitment to the world of occupational health and safety - to giving common-sense, jargon-free advice - continues to guide our company. We are thinking of Nick’s family today, also, and sending them our warmest thoughts.

We continue to remember Nick every day as a fantastic mentor, colleague and friend. Forever missed ❤️🕊️

Some things to think about:
👉 Do you know where your first aid kit is kept?
👉 Have items like sterile dressings or eyewash gone out of date?

With more pressures than ever for today's young people, knowing how to spot the signs of mental health struggles and offering the right support can be life-changing.

Our new First Aid for Youth Mental Health course equips adults with the practical tools and knowledge to support young people aged 12 - 18. Ideal for teachers, youth workers, coaches, and anyone in a role involving regular interaction with young people.

One-day training takes place in Royal Wootton Bassett on Monday 3rd November, 9.30am until 4pm. Gain a Level 2 Award, valid for three years. Cost is £85+vat each.

We're very pleased to introduce Kirsty - the newest member of our Health & Safety team.

With 20 years' experience running her own dance school, Kirsty is bringing her organisation, energy, and creativity to the new role supporting our consultants and customers.

Joining Safewell has given Kirsty the opportunity to embrace a better work-life balance, giving her more family time with her three kids, and Henry, her crazy Cavapoo 🐶.

She still finds time to keep her toes pointed, however, as she continues to teach children's dance classes twice a week 🎶
