Earwax removal by Jan

Lovely review received tonight.

So after having a blocked left ear for over a month, I was starting to think I’d never be able to hear properly in my ear again.
I went to my local Pharmacy who had a service for wax removal.
After 3 vigorous attempts and failures, Jan was recommended to me.
Jan was very thorough around explaining what the treatment involved, and also gave me a screen to see the inside of my ear.
Jan started with the suction removal, but as it was tough went on to water irrigation.
After a good hour of hard graft, Jan managed to totally clear both ears and I was astounded by the results and how much had came out of my little ears.
Would highly recommend and will now keep on top my wax build up from the advice given.

Reasons for excessive wax and dried skin in ears:

Here’s a few :

using cotton buds, hair grips, matchsticks or other undesirable objects pushes wax deeper into the ear canal causing impaction.

Frequent use of hearing aids, earplugs or earphones prevents wax from leaving the ear naturally which causes a buildup over time.

Skin conditions such as psorias and eczema cause excessive dry skin/dead skin to shed inside the ear which then builds up over time.

Age related - unfortunately for us as we age, earwax tends to harden, making it more likely to accumulate.

Environmental factors - working in dusty, dirty environments with no ear protection can result in debris getting in and mixing with the wax causing it to become trapped.

Infections like otitis externa - also known as swimmers ear - can cause skin inflammation and increase wax production.

Some people have narrow ear canals or curvy ones making it harder for the wax to come out. Also, hairy ear canals can also cause an issue.

Putting a cotton bud down your ear hole is gunna do nothing to get this thing out!! Leave it to the professionals, please!!
