A busy day last week with the BSDHT attending the Publications Team on Zoom and the 2025 Editorial Board Meeting. It was great to be invited as BSDHT treasurer and see all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes for our members.

Thursday 3rd April saw the BSDHT Publications Team gather on Zoom for their second Publications meeting of the year. This was followed by the 2025 Editorial Board Meeting (see photo) where we warmly welcomed our two new Editorial Board Members Drs Bhupinder Dawett and Jeena Patel, who join Professor Ken Eaton, Victoria Wilson and Drs Jeanie Suvan and Susan Bissett. A huge thank you to Drs Stacey Clough, Latha David and Cassandra Lewis who have now completed their terms of office and helped to shape our journals over recent years. We were also pleased to welcome Rhiannon Jones, BSDHT President and BSDHT Honorary Treasurer, Claire Bennett to this meeting.

A very productive day at the first BSDHT council meeting of the year.

Another productive BSDHT Council meeting was held on Monday. We are glad we decided to hold it online as the storms would have caused havoc for some representatives.

What is it with me and the weather? ❄️ 💨 🌧️ 🌩️

We had very open discussions about the direction of the Society and it was clear that all members are passionate about improvement and evolution. It was lovely to see familiar and new faces. Your regional group representatives did you proud and will give more details in their presentations at your next study day.

Look out for your next journal for an update on current projects and the new systems being put in place to support and streamline the work done.
