On the basis of the European Parliamentary Research Service's latest study of the health impact of 5G, I would like the Government to prohibit 5G technology in the UK. This should include the installation and operation of 5G masts.

🔥 There are lots of reasons we do not want 5G in the centre of our beautiful village
1. Potential decrease in property value as people not not want to live near a mast
2. No proof of safety , no public consultation, no health or environmental risk assessment
3. Eye sore visual clutter with the cabinets degrading the area
4. Published research shows negative biological health effects living near masts
5. Studies show effects on the ecosystem especially birds and the bees
6. 5G means a densification of antennas and infrastructure within our community , adding more and more radiation on top of what we already have
7. 5G is NOT green and will consume significant amounts of energy and encourage more consumerism , this is all about making more MONEY for the big multi national corporations
8. 8. ICNIRP's radiation safety limits which we use in the UK are set so high they are not protective, it is like having a speed limit of 200 miles per hour. ICNIRP is a NGO based in Germany with 13 members and a revolving door with the telecommunications industry

If you live in Somerset can you please object to this 5G mast application in North Petherton, right next to Jolly Jumpers children's play park , only takes a few minutes , objections made in the comments box on the Sedgemoor council website, link below
🔥 5G technology is being rolled out with NO proof of safety, NO public  consultation or consent, and NO health or environmental risk assessment.
🔥 Published research shows that health effects from living near masts can include: higher levels of cancer, cardiovascular problems, diabetes, depression, anxiety, headaches, sleep problems, memory problems and blurred vision.
🔥 Children, pregnant women, the elderly and people with chronic health  conditions are particularly vulnerable.
🔥 32 out of the 33 known studies on the effects of phone masts demonstrate negative health effects for people living near them.
🔥 Studies show that the ecosystem - birds, bees, other insects, trees etc - are adversely affected by existing levels of RFR microwave radiation.
🔥 In 2011 RF microwave radiation was declared a Class 2B possible  carcinogen - many scientists are now urging that it should be upgraded to a Class 2A (probable) or Class 1 (known) carcinogen.
🔥 A Dutch court has very recently ruled that health risks below 1 V/m (volts per metre) cannot be ruled out. UK guidelines are 56 V/m.

Useful comment:
This is a siting issue – it is ‘incompatible and unacceptable use’ of land and that is a material planning consideration. There is evidence of a pollutant involved causing adverse health effects which need to be evaluated under sentence 1, section 180 of the NPPF, and the Planning department has to take account of that evidence. The polluting effects have to be investigated by competent persons. That competence falls under the environmental health/director public health remit. The evidence shows this application is unsustainable under the NPPF social sustainability objective – there is no net benefit – the application should be refused.
