Ever wondered what a Barré class looks like!? 🤔

Here’s a typical lesson & a couple FAQ’s to answer any queries you may have …

🔹 It’s a full body conditioning class which blends Pilates, Ballet and Strength Work

🔹 We focus on small, repetitive exercises to target the local muscle groups to support and stabilise joints

🔹 Our classes are deliberately small to give us plenty of space to jump on and off the barré!

🔹 It’s suitable for everyone — no previous experience is needed!

🔹 Yes - Men you’re absolutely welcome too!!

🔹 Our Barré classes are taught by Lucy every Wednesday evening @ 7.30pm!

Utkatasana / Chair!🪑

This posture is a little like marmite. You either love it or hate it !! 🤗🫣

For us it totally depends on the day and our mood!

If we’re feeling strong and determined, we’ll chuck it into a sequence, but if we’re feeling tired then we’ll most likely avoid it!

Here’s a few pointers to think about when coming into chair pose … ⬇️

• Sink slowly into the depth of your squat
• Draw the knees and legs together
• Press the palms in prayer and drop your shoulders
• Rock the weight back onto your heels
• If taking a twist to the side, push your opposite elbow against the leg to give yourself more space

And above everything — don’t forget to breathe and relax your face — Apparently that helps!! 😅
