We are proud to be the first supermarket to introduce stoma-friendly toilets in all stores with an accessible bathroom๐Ÿ‘

We have worked with Colostomy UKK to introduce features including hooks for clothing or bags, a shelf for supplies, a bin for discreet disposal, and a mirror to help with appliance checks.

We hope these new facilities help to support independence, dignity and comfort for people living with a stoma๐Ÿ’š

This March, weโ€™re inviting you to take part in March for Max โ€” a walking challenge with a purpose. Weโ€™re asking people to get outside and walk throughout March, in whatever way works for you. Thereโ€™s no step target, no distance to hit, and no pressure โ€” just a commitment to move a little in support of an important cause.
Every step taken helps raise awareness and funds to support individuals and families affected by Anorectal Malformation, helping ensure they receive the support, information, and community they need.
Whether itโ€™s a short stroll, a lunchtime walk, walking the dog, or a longer weekend adventure, every walk counts. You can take part on your own, with friends, family, or colleagues โ€” and share your journey along the way to inspire others to join in.
By supporting March for Max, youโ€™re helping us continue our work supporting families, raising awareness, and making a real difference.
๐Ÿ’™ Join us this March ๐Ÿ’™ Walk in a way that suits you ๐Ÿ’™ Donate or share to help us reach more people.

Today we held the first Fontan School of 2026, welcoming families whose children are preparing for their next stage of heart surgery.

Fontan School is an interactive session where parents have the opportunity to ask questions and talk directly with the clinical team about what lies ahead. At the same time, the children spend time with Sammi, the hospital play specialist, who helps them understand what to expect during their hospital stay through play based activities.

To mark the day, each heart child who attended received a special Fontan bear, which we purchase from as a small token of comfort and encouragement for their journey.

Whether it is a local school PTA, a national charity or a local organisation in need of a boost we ask our valued customers who they would like us to give back to.

Thank you to everybody who nominated their good causes. Our 10 charities who will each receive ยฃ100.00 in 2026 are.

We were deeply moved and saddened by the video shared by Jesy Nelson, confirming that her twin daughters have been diagnosed with Type 1 Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). Our hearts go out to Jesy, Zion, their family, and everyone affected by this news.

SMA UK is here for everyone affected by SMA, offering support, trusted information, and community. Early diagnosis can make a life-changing difference, which is why we continue to campaign for SMA to be included in the UKโ€™s newborn screening programme. No family should face the heartbreak of a preventable delay in diagnosis.
