Myself and Mumma Viv are creating little hedgehugs to raise funds for Portsmouth Hospital Charities.

A portion of every sale will be added to our charity fund, a cause very close to our hearts as several members of our family are frontline workers.

I know I’ve not been around for a long time. But I wanted to wish all of my hug followers a very Merry Christmas. Getting these fuzz balls back on my tree has brought back a lot of wonderful memories. Happy Christmas to everyone in our Hedgehug family ❤️🥰

We have a shop announcement! We are closing our doors for new orders over the Summer and will be back in the Autumn. Each fuzzy little hug takes on average 2 hours to create and over the last year I have spent well over 1,500 hours of my spare time making and sending smiles 🥵 so alongside the day job it’s been a huge undertaking! I’ve spoken with the hugs, and they’ve said I can take some me time 🤗 Andy and I have some big plans to work on and we will get to work straight away. I am incredibly proud of Hedgehugs so far and very grateful to all of our Hug owners, senders and followers. I hope you all have a glorious summer and we will see you soon 🥰☀️🦔💛

We ordered some special treats from to fuel an all day ride on the bikes, but the weather had other ideas 🌧 Looks like a cup of tea, a good film and some freshly baked goodness on the sofa is in order 😋😁

When told me were doing a Hog giveaway, I knew instantly I had to have one, he’s so soft! 😆 I did some research and every year Spontex raises money for the British Hedgehog Preservation Society through the sale of packs like these. So it seems silly not to get involved! Plus I think Andy found my sponge stash and used them on cleaning the bikes 🙄...

Today marks a big day for me as Chief Hedgehug Maker. 1 year ago today, I created and launched the HAVEAHEDGEHUG.COM website - I decided to give this little venture a good go.

A year later, you’ve spread thousands of smiles (and several tears, although happy ones). You wonderful lot have helped raise over £2000 for good causes. And you have given me the BIGGEST confidence and wellbeing boost when I needed it most. One of the best things to come out of this venture for me so far, is building this encouraging, inspiring and generous community ❤️

So for all you home-schooled, small business heroes... it’s not about chasing followers, don’t beat yourself up when things aren’t going as well as you hoped (you’re always learning!), always be kind and do everything you can to give your small business neighbours a boost (messages of support and likes cost nothing). I’ve learnt so much but Hedgehugs have opened my eyes to how much more there is to learn - and it’s exciting! 🦔🥰🥳
