What does the future of Neurodiverse support look like in Gwent? What’s missing, what’s needed, and what worries there are as a parent or caregiver of a child.

We held three Neuro Club sessions with thanks to Dr Charlie Cowtan and Re-framing emotions and anxiety in children. for helping facilitate these vital conversations.

The main thank you is to everyone who shared their story. Without you and your lived experiences, Neuro Club wouldn’t have been the success it was.

Every voice and completed form will be compiled and presented to key decision makers in health, statutory and education. Your voices matter and we feel privileged to be in a position to amplify them.

You can still contribute by visiting here: https://www.torfaentalkscic.org.uk/neuroclub-consultation

And we’ll be sharing more events around our shortly.

End of an era at Happy Kids Wales! 🌟

Today, we are saying a very fond (and slightly tearful) farewell to the wonderful Andrea, who is officially retiring. Andrea has been Happy Kids Wales, a friend to all, and a second "mum" to so many little ones over the years.

Andrea, your kindness and patience will be missed by everyone you've helped or supported.

Thank you for the countless memories and for making Happy Kids Wales the way it has been.

Torfaen Talks CIC will be delivering in due course and we hope to do you proud, but for now, please join us in wishing Andrea the happiest, most relaxing retirement! 🥂✨

Wellbeing isn’t just about walking or talking - it can be about creativity, and there have been some amazing examples of that happening with Kate from Botanic Possessions delivering some amazing workshops for our Community and Connection programme funded by the UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund.

Thank you to all that took part across the three sessions. The £500 raised, funds the roomhire costs of 25 counselling sessions.

Good mental health shouldn’t be a luxury, and finance shouldn’t be a barrier. Each penny from the sessions goes towards providing inclusive mental health support here in Torfaen.

Men’s mental health in Gwent is taking a major step forward.

Last week, we helped launch the EmpowerMen Project—a collaborative movement focused on creativity, kindness, and tangible results. For local business owners and community leaders, this is a call to action to help us bridge the wellbeing gap.

Key takeaways from the launch:
✅ Introduction of the Men’s Wellbeing Toolkit.
✅ Plans for 25 regional Topical Talks.
✅ Direct pathways to professional therapy and coaching.
