✨ And that’s a wrap for You Can Sit With Us 2025 ✨

What a year 🥳

From a little lightbulb moment back in April, to coffee mornings, social meet-ups, drop-off sessions, craft evenings and play sessions - this year has been full of connection, courage and community.

There were times when we showed up...and no one else did.

But here's the funny thing about business, we learnt quickly that we had to...

up 👏🏼

And we did. Every week. We showed up when we knew no one was coming. We showed up when we were tired. We showed up when we knew that we weren't making enough money to cover room hire. But we showed up because you deserved to see that we were serious about building this space.

We came into the home ed community loudly - not to take up space, but to make space.

Space for families to turn up as they are.

Space for children to belong.

Space for grown-ups to sit down, take a minute, feel seen and have a hot cup of coffee.

We’ve met the most wonderful families along the way, and we’re so grateful to every single one of you for trusting us, supporting us, and believing in what we’re building.

Looking ahead to 2026, we’ve got oodles of ideas - but just as importantly, we want to hear from you.

What do you need? What’s missing? What would make home ed feel more connected, more supported, more you?

📚 Autumn's Library will be travelling around Devon in cafes, book shops, sweet shops and community hubs. Keep an eye on where it's going next.

🏡 - we'll be back from February too (obviously!)

We cannot wait to share our ideas with you, but for now - we're in Christmas mode & winding down for a few weeks.

✨ Our last session of 2025 is tomorrow - Monday, 8th December! ✨

We can’t wait to see everyone at for our final Coffee Morning before we take a little break and return in February. This session is completely free as we gauge interest and see what families would love from us in the new year.

We’ve got big plans for 2026 — more mini mornings, a community pantry, clothing swaps, drop-off sessions, adults only evenings, and lots more ways to bring home-educating families together.

If you’ve been thinking of popping along, this is the perfect chance.

Come as you are, meet some lovely people, and help us shape what comes next. 💛

💛 FREE session to gauge interest ahead of our full launch in February 2026

Mini Mornings – A Gentle Social Space for Home Educated Children (all ages)

Mini Mornings are designed for home educating families who want to start building community, help their children ease into group settings, and enjoy a relaxed, friendly morning together.

This session is not a drop-off.

Parents remain fully responsible for their child at all times.
You’re welcome to:

☕ Stay in the room with us and enjoy a cuppa, or
💻 Make use of the co-working space upstairs at Eli House (additional cost)

What to Expect

We create a gentle, play-based and low demand social environment with:

🧱 Lego and board games
📚 Autumn’s Library – our community book swap corner
🎨 Colouring and drawing materials
🎬 A cosy film playing on the projector
💬 Plenty of space to chat, play, and get comfortable

It’s a great way for children to socialise at their own pace, explore familiar activities, and begin getting used to being around other children in a calm, friendly setting.

Totally lost for words — thank you for believing in us and what we do 💛

This morning was incredible. We felt such a sense of connection in the room — grown ups and children free to be themselves, feeling like they belong. New friendships beginning, and even some lovely links with other local businesses too.

📚 Access to books is so important for children — it opens up new worlds, new ideas and gives them the freedom to explore whatever they’re curious about.

That’s why we’ll be bringing Autumn’s Library, our travelling community bookcase, along with us to our coffee morning at tomorrow, and to our Mini Morning on 8th December.

✨ Got children’s books you no longer need? Bring them along and swap them for something new

✨ Don’t have a book to swap? Still choose one — this is accessible to everyone

✨ Not staying for the whole coffee morning? Feel free to pop in just to swap a book

And there’s no need to return the books — once they’re yours, they’re yours to enjoy. 📖

We brought this along to our Autumnal Evening at last month and it literally filled up within seconds! Autumn has since been reading all the Roald Dahl books pictured here 🧡
