Now offering acupuncture! Here I am using one of my new skills to help treat an acute shoulder injury. Acupuncture is a beautifully effective technique that has amazingly power painkilling and anti-inflammatory effects. Although many people are divided in the mechanisms that cause theses effects the evidence is overwhelming that it works. ⠀
⠀
Often Western medical technique uses a compartmentalised approach and needle the local area to elicit the effects, however understanding how points all over the body can have a physiological change globally can create incredible results and not only improve the injured area but have lasting effects on the mind.⠀
⠀
Images above show needling session on some distal points and some FMRI scans of the brain pre and post needling sessions, showing the physiological changes in the brain showing acupuncture is much more than just jabbing needles in! ⠀
