✨ About Me — Alison Hannah ✨
Hi, I’m Alison, and I’ve been proudly working in care for the past 10 years. During this time, I’ve achieved both my Level 2 Adult Care Worker qualification and my Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care, building strong knowledge and hands-on skills to support individuals with a wide range of needs.
I began my career working night shifts as a senior carer, supporting staff and ensuring smooth, safe, and consistent care for residents through the night. I later moved onto day shifts, which included hospital appointments, meaningful activities, and days out with residents — experiences that deepened my passion for supporting people in a holistic, person-centred way.
Over the years, I’ve developed a special love for working with individuals living with dementia. I believe strongly in promoting independence, offering choice, and providing calm, compassionate support that respects a person’s identity and routine.
More recently, I’ve had the opportunity to support people within their own homes, and I’ve realised this is the path I truly want to continue. There’s something incredibly rewarding about helping someone remain comfortable, confident, and safe in familiar surroundings.
I’m happy to support with a wide range of day-to-day tasks, including:
• Light household jobs like hoovering 🧹
• Shopping and errands 🛒
• Companionship visits ☕
• Support for family carers who need a well-deserved break ❤️
• Waking nights or sleeping nights for short stays, giving you peace of mind while you’re away 🌙
I am also experienced in palliative and end-of-life care, ensuring comfort, dignity, and respect at every stage while honouring each person’s wishes.
I’m dedicated, trustworthy, and passionate about making life easier, safer, and more meaningful for those I support — and I always strive to deliver care that feels personal, respectful, and reassuring.
