ADVENT
Tonight my daughter was unsettled, so I sat by the window with her in my arms, holding her until she fell asleep. The stars became our night-light, shining behind the tall trees outside. It reminded me how much we see when we simply look up … The beauty. The stillness. The promise.
Advent is a season of waiting ... Our instinct may be to stay busy, yet the invitation is to pause and notice the magic already here.
If you have children, you have a doorway back into that magic. Through their eyes, the smallest moments become meaningful again. They don’t need endless plans… they just need YOU, present and steady. This will calm their little nervous systems.
The first week of Advent begins with HOPE.
Hope that heals.
Hope that softens us.
Hope that helps us love again.
May you find that hope in whatever rhythm you choose this season. And if your pace slows, I pray you feel the warmth, joy and magic tucked into the little things.
