After a very long absence for covid and other life changes, The Aroma Room is resurfacing... remodelled and in a new location! Now based in Piltdown, near Uckfield, E Sussex, 35mins drive from the previous Tunbridge Wells location I will be offering the same services of aromatherapy and aromaflexology (a fusion between aromatherapy and reflexology). I hope to reopen sometime in June or July and if you are interested in learning more about my treatments and perhaps booking, do reply to this post and I will send you a direct message to keep you informed. It will be lovely to see some of my previous visitors return and extend my offering to others who have perhaps never experienced the benefits of my services! It's been a long absence...but it finally feels like it is time to wave goodbye to the restrictions of covid and move on! Watch this space!

The Aroma Room remains closed but has nevertheless kept busy - supplied 50 uplifting, stress relief "sniff sticks" to the midwives and other maternity related staff at The Princess Royal University Hospital. I have heard and seen the stresses that the covid situation has placed on these wonderful staff via my daughter Laura Pattenden..(pictured here)...thanks ladies (and any gents) for your fantastic dedicated work. Keep sniffing! xx

It's been a long time since I posted on here although I have had some people reach out to me to see if The Aroma Room is open at the moment. It is not for now. I will post on here as soon as I have news as to a possible time to start offering treatments again. My heart is not called to do consultations by zoom although if you would like to make contact for advice or support; please do so and I will do my best to help you. This lockdown is especially hard on people's mental health and the oils can be beneficial to lift the spirits and aid the body in it's relaxation. Stay safe everyone. Caroline

The government has now allowed physiotherapists and podiatrists back to work; complementary therapists are still not permitted, however. Please sign the below petition to help us lobby government to allow The Aroma Room and other similar practices to reopen...

Please sign and share with as many people as possible and show the government the positive contribution we make in this sector of health and that we should be allowed back to work without delay.

The Aroma Room has been silent on here for a while now although behind the scenes much has been happening. First off, The Aroma Room is moving... more on that later or message me privately.

With the arrival of Covid-19 and all the distancing measures there was obviously no alternative but to close the practice. For a new business trying to get established, this is not an ideal situation and I have been wondering how/if to restart after this is all over. I, Caroline, feel the exit from social isolation and distancing will be an altogether different challenge for people, myself included, and I am considering how best to offer something that will both meet the differing needs of people and be within my own skill set and knowledge.

As anyone that has had a treatment with me knows, (and many others of you that know me but have not yet been treated), I hold firmly with the view that our bodies hold the stresses and pains we are feeling emotionally and that tension can give rise to both physical and mental illness if not released. Aromatherapy and the hands-on approach I provide of aromaflexology (I am not a massage therapist) offers a way to bring about relaxation and release that eases pain and provides space for more expansiveness in mind and body.

So, at these difficult times I would ask you, please, to share below your experiences of any treatments you have had with me and what you think you might need when/if I restart my practice in accordance with government guidelines. What you enjoyed and anything you feel would have enhanced your treatment experience. If you have not yet had a treatment, other's experiences may help you to know what it is I historically offered and how people found the treatment.

I will use this information to create my relaunch package. There will be discounts and deals as I am genuinely keen to help people release their bodies and minds from the "Covid Constriction" and recognise that furlough or whatever the other financial consequences of Covid are for you, money spent on "non-essential" items might be tight. That said, what is more essential than a healthy body and mind?

Share away please - it would both help me formulate my relaunch when the time is right and provide me with connection in my social isolation!

Stay well everyone!
xx

The Aroma Room has been quiet lately, preparing for the new year ahead and information gathering for clients with various issues, outside of the treatment room. Knowledge is power and gives us choice in how we deal with any physical or mental challenges that present. My long held and continued belief is that many physical issues in the body are manifestations of dis-ease in the emotional state. Of course, that is not true of all symptomatic issues and it is really important, I believe, to ensure that a medical diagnosis is obtained where there is any issue which you intuitively know is not right for your system. What we do with the diagnosis, however, is another matter. I am not suggesting that oils and treatments can cure all conditions instead of taking pharmaceutical drugs. I am, however, suggesting that many issues can be significantly improved by a change in diet, trial of a complementary therapy remedy or combination of a variety of approaches. Knowing what the options are is the first step to individual empowerment in making the choices that are right for you. Reaching out to all different practitioners and asking their views is a good first step. Booking in for different treatments and gifting your body that half hour or hour to be treated, literally and metaphorically, can be incredibly healing. My clients often report that the relaxation and/or good sleep that comes with and follows a treatment can be transformative to their general condition. 2020, the year of plenty....allow your body plenty of opportunities to relax and see the effect on your general physical and emotional state.

Here in The Aroma Room we have had a busier week, treating a few clients, two new to aromaflexology, and selling the new Eve Taylor products we now stock. Always delighted to provide healing to people - take a look at the reviews to see what people are saying after their treatments. One of the clients this week emailed his feedback through which I wanted to share:, he said:

"Caroline is very calming and excellent at what she does . I had an aromaflexology foot massage that helped to relax and clear tired areas in the upper body . I Highly recommend this treatment"

Why not come and try for yourself to start the year feeling rejuvenated and relaxed? Watch this page for more treatments being added early in 2020.

Have a good festive season and thank you for your support to date. May 2020 bring all that you wish for. xx

Since people seem to be doing their shopping for 25th December earlier and earlier, and there is a general retail frenzy with Black Friday approaching, I thought it worth mentioning that if you are noticing your neck getting sore, your shoulders tensing and your hips hurting, it could be that you are holding the tension of the season in your body. An aromaflexology treatment could be the answer! Book in for a treatment and gift yourself an hour to experience the magic that can happen in The Aroma Room! See the recommendations for reports from happy customers! If you have not time or the inclination, then perhaps a gift voucher might be what you need to ease the stress instead! Contact me for more information.

Autumn feels like it is setting in and here in The Aroma Room I am noticing that the colder weather brings with it the tendency to tense the body leading to aches and pains and the start of sniffs and colds. Aromaflexology is a very relaxing treatment that aims to release tension and boost your internal systems generally to deal with the increased demands of the autumn/winter season. Maybe you have a bit more time now the holiday season is over and would like to book in for a treatment? The Aroma Room has been quiet on here since the page launched due to holidays and general busyness but people have been liking and viewing nevertheless - thank you. I look forward to seeing you.
