To give you a bit of context to this great feedback...
We normally expect the time in a boot for non-surgical management for an Achilles rupture to be 8-10 weeks, once out of the boot at 10 weeks you would be transitioning to a supportive shoe or trainer, which you may need to wear a heel raise in for another 5-8 weeks. A total of 15-18 weeks to heal and have the strength and length in the muscle to be walking around unaided and starting to get back to activities
This Turra Physio client was able to start transition out of the boot at week 6. By week 7 and 8, they were walking a mile slowly with crutches (in trainers) and working on optimising the the strength and length of their calf muscles because the tendon fully healed. By Week 12 this client was walking un-aided and back to work! π
At Turra Physio we do not only have the knowledge and rehab expertise to get you back from injury, but we also have enhanced treatment modalities that can help get you back doing what you need / want to be doing faster πͺ
