Lynfield had a fantastic time celebrating BBC Children in Need this year! 🥳

The home was full of colour, laughter, and plenty of Pudsey spirit as everyone came together for a day of fun and fundraising.

We kicked things off with a Pudsey-themed buffet that went down a treat, followed by a lively game of “Pin the Bandana on Pudsey,” which brought out the competitive side in our residents and staff alike.

There were plenty of memorable moments, including the staff accidentally pinning the bandana on completely the wrong wall, much to the amusement of everyone watching. It was wonderful to see residents getting involved, enjoying the activities, and sharing stories, smiles, and plenty of laughs throughout the day.

It was a brilliant celebration for a brilliant cause! 💜

Lynfield had a very special visitor from Suffolk Constabulary Official Page 👮‍♂️🚔

We were so excited to welcome PD Morse, who spent the day meeting the people we support as well as our staff team.

PD Morse’s visit provided a valuable opportunity for everyone at Lynfield to build positive, trusting relationships with local police, as this is incredibly important to us.

Today’s visit helped the people we support feel more confident in recognising the police as approachable, supportive members of society who are there to help in times of need.

We would like to extend a big thank you to Suffolk Constabulary and PD Morse for taking the time to visit Lynfield and for creating such an engaging experience for everyone involved 💜

On 13th November, we celebrated !

At Lynfield, kindness is at the heart of everything we do. Our staff team promotes kindness every day and night to the people we support and we are honoured to have the team we do 💜

To show our appreciation, we treated our staff team to a little sweet surprise of chocolates, and we’d like to give a special thank you to one team member who has truly stood out. Andrew, thank you for your kindness, positivity, and for always getting on with the day no matter what comes your way.

Life is full of surprises and sometimes not all good, at Lynfield we stand by one quote which is “In a world where you can be anything, be kind.” Thank you everyone, for everything you do, it doesn’t go unnoticed 🥳

Emma, our Head Senior at Lynfield, has truly gone above and beyond in her role! 🥳

Over the past few weeks, she has shown incredible commitment and compassion, spending countless hours supporting one of our residents during their hospital admission.

Her kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help in any situation have not gone unnoticed. Colleagues describe Emma as approachable, reliable, and always ready to lend a hand.

She consistently supports both seniors and staff, encouraging everyone to perform at their best and maintaining the high standards of care we value at Lynfield.

Thank you, Emma, for your dedication and for being a positive role model for the entire team.

Last week, Lynfield celebrated Halloween in true spooky spirit with a fantastic party that brought everyone together for an afternoon of fun and laughter! 🎃🕷️

The afternoon featured a delicious buffet, creative costumes, and a variety of games and activities that everyone could enjoy.

A huge thank you to all the staff who helped organise the event, joined in the dressing up, and made the day so memorable.

Your enthusiasm and effort made the celebration such a success and ensured everyone had a wonderful time. It was a great day full of spirit and festive fun at Lynfield!

We’re so happy to celebrate John, our Employee of the Month at Lynfield! 🙌✨

Although John hasn’t been with us for long, he’s quickly become a valued part of the Lynfield family.

Staff describe him as a ray of sunshine and a breath of fresh air always bringing warmth, positivity, and care to everyone around him.

Not only does John go above and beyond in his role as a support worker, but he’s also known for making the best dinners! Well done, John!!! Thank you for all that you do 💜

Lorraine, Jackie, Lou and Maria got to fulfil a lifetime wish by being supported to Euro Disney by staff Aneta & Katie from Wisteria House 🌟✨

The ladies all said that this was a dream come true and thanked the staff for making this happen; the ladies stayed at the Cheyenne Hotel at Disney and enjoyed all the activities and meeting the characters although there was a lot of walking and travelling 🏰 💜

Wisteria House always listens and acts to any requests made by the ladies to ensure that our ladies have enriching experiences and the best support to achieve their goals in life.

Lynfield celebrated World Cerebral Palsy Day 6th October 2025 with an engaging and educational morning 🙌

We began with a presentation on what Cerebral Palsy is, followed by a fun quiz to test our knowledge. We were grateful to have two guest speakers, Emma and Holly, who shared a short video about how Cerebral Palsy affects their lives.

Emma said “you can do anything with a disability, you just might have to find an alternative way of doing a task,” which truly resonated with everyone 💜

The celebration continued with a lively game of bingo, where residents enjoyed winning prizes, and we ended the afternoon with a lovely tea that everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

Floyd our maintenance person has been awarded a £20.00 gift card by our manager Laura, for being our Employee of the Month of September at Wisteria House! 🙌🌟

Floyd is very proactive within his role and nothing is too much trouble for him, he helps with keeping the home safe and presentable and his approach with our residents is also lovely to watch.

Congratulations Floyd and thank you for all that you do to make Wisteria House a lovely place to be!! 💜
