✨ Counting down the days… because next week I’ll be heading to Ideas Fest for the very first time! 🚀

I’ve seen the posts and heard so much about it, the energy, the conversations, the sense of community. A field full of entrepreneurs, big ideas, and honest stories about what it really takes to build something? Basically, Glastonbury for entrepreneurs… and that’s my kind of festival. 🎶💡

And the timing feels extra special. After winning the South West regional, Kuutch is heading there as part of the UK Start Up Awards nationals, something I never imagined when I first started out, but here we are.

Building Kuutch hasn’t been a straight line, it’s been messy, human, and full of huge lessons for me. But every step has reinforced why this work matters…putting human energy at the centre of leadership, culture, and the future of work.

So I’m going with an open mind (and probably a notebook full of inspirational insights and scribbles by the end 😆). Mostly, I’m excited to soak it all up, meet new people, and bring back fresh energy and ideas.

🌊 Sometimes we only stop when it’s already too late.

Like this gull that I saw yesterday, we keep scanning the horizon for the next wave, the next task, the next thing to do… but rarely pause long enough to notice what’s happening to us.

That’s the thing with burnout.
By the time you’re actually in it, your brain has already numbed you to the warning signs. The part of you that would notice has gone quiet, survival mode has taken over.

And that’s why it doesn’t always look dramatic. Sometimes it’s:
✨ Sitting in meetings but not taking in a word.
✨ Staring at your screen knowing you should start… but you just can’t.
✨ Snapping at someone you care about because your system is overloaded.
✨Feeling like your wading through treacle just to get through the day.

When exhaustion becomes the baseline, it’s not just performance that suffers, it’s health, safety, relationships, and the very spark that makes us human.

This isn’t about crisis firefighting. It’s about prevention, giving leaders and teams the tools to spot the early signals, understand the science, and protect their energy before exhaustion takes hold.

Because once you’re under the wave, it’s so much harder to come back up.

That’s why I created a Burnout awareness lunch and learn, a session I’m running for teams this autumn at a special intro rate of £750. This session can also be tied into stress and mental health awareness days.
