I posted this article on Linkedin, where it started a debate about whether it was right to focus on support for women's mental health or should it be advocating support at work for everybody's mental health.
Obviously, supporting everybody in the workplace is important, and we need to get to a place where admitting you need help is acceptable so that, as much as is possible, we have a healthy and content workforce. There are specific issues that face both men and women at work, and there's still inequality and stereotyping that needs to be called out, so is it a good thing to concentrate on this from the viewpoint of women, or is that simply increasing the divide?
What do you all think?
Women face unique challenges. Your company’s policies should address them.
