Getting to work with a young professional today has been awesome. So great to see an athlete so dedicated to his profession, leaving now stone unturned in achieving excellence, chasing those 1%'s. Already he has achieved so much as a professional fighter, Wales, National & WKC World Champion Kickboxer.

What VALD Brings to Performance

1. Objective Measurement & Monitoring
Provides precise, quantitative metrics (e.g. jump height, force, symmetry, strength, speed) instead of relying solely on subjective assessments.
These metrics allow tracking of individual changes over time, detecting plateaus, regressions, or growth-related variations.
2. Age / Maturation Sensitivity (Biological vs Chronological Age)
VALD recognizes that in youth, maturation/growth periods (e.g. peak height velocity) mean performance traits don’t always follow linear or uniform trajectories.
By having longitudinal data, coaches can tailor training loads and expectations to each athlete’s developmental stage rather than purely age.
3. Identifying Asymmetries & Movement Inefficiencies Early
Force plates (e.g. ForceDecks), strength testing (ForceFrame, NordBord etc.) allow detection of imbalance, side-to-side differences, or poor movement quality.
Early detection helps in intervention before imbalances become ingrained, reducing injury risk and improving long‐term development.
4. Frequent, Validated Testing & Feedback Tools
Provide real-time feedback in drills/tests. This helps both coach and athlete understand performance quickly and make adjustments.
Because tests are validated, the metrics are reliable and can be benchmarked.
5. Normative Data & Benchmarking
VALD has large datasets (“norms”) by age, sport, s*x etc., so youth athletes can be compared to peers or elite standards. This helps with setting targets or understanding where they are relative to potential.
Useful also for talent identification: athletes who may seem “behind” in early tests can improve rapidly; it helps avoid dismissing potential early due to non-linear development.
6. Supporting Long-Term Athletic Development (LTAD)
Because of its capacity for frequent, nuanced measurement, VALD supports LTAD models: adapting training through the different phases of growth, ensuring skill/strength/speed development matches the maturation stage.

The client presented with what has previously been diagnosed by a consultant as frozen Shoulder. Has previously had numerous courses of physiotherapy and subsequent injections, his symptoms and range had not improved!

Our Story

Move 3 has been engaged in the health, wellness and fitness industry since 2007 working with clients and athletes from all over the world. We are specialist in human performance solutions, specifically movement optimization, whether that be athletic performance enhancement, injury or exercise rehabilitation, or purely to improve the complete health, wellness and fitness of a client.

In that time, Move3 has been privileged to work with some of the finest athletes and in the world, including World Champions, Olympians, Internationally capped Rugby Union players, World ranked tennis professionals from the UK, Europe, Australia and Asia, including top 100 players and junior Wimbledon doubles finalist. We have worked at both the Wimbledon Championships and the Australian Open as both a fitness coach and on site therapist. We have also been fortunate enough to work with the Armed Forces helping provide long term injury prevention strategies to assist with optimizing their operational performance.

In 2010 we were documented by the BBC due to our success in helping rehabilitate a client of ours who sustained a long term neurological condition post having a brain stem stroke which left them with something called ‘Locked in’ syndrome. Over the years with working with our client we were able to get them to be less dependant on their walking aids, and give them an overall better standard of living by reducing the pain and discomfort felt through years of faulty movement habits.

We continue to strive for perfection in the industry, teaching and educating via CPD workshops and courses. We look forward to the next 11 years in the industry!
