Does life feel busy and overwhelming? Do you find it hard to slow down, or prioritise time to relax?
The aim of forest bathing is to slow down and become immersed in the natural environment, tuning in to the smells, textures, tastes and sights of the forest, using all our senses.
The practice of Forest bathing, using Shinrin Yoku methods, guides us towards what we have forgotten, that we are nature.
"We include the mental, emotional and spiritual needs and benefits of connecting to Nature at a deeper level, the experience of awe that leads to an appreciation of the natural world and therefore a desire to protect and nurture it, to give something back. This is reciprocity and is part of our ecological ‘belonging’" Stefan Bartois, Nature & therapy
I am delighted to now offer opportunities to 'gather' in local woodlands, to share these techniques guiding you in a Forest Bathing experience.
These first gatherings will be held Suffolk Wildlife Trust Groton Wood
These gently guided gatherings combine leisurely walks on paths with activities to help you open your senses, hone your intuition, and experience the woodland as you never have before. I will draw upon mindfulness meditation practices, and the techniques of deep nature connection mentoring.
