Debunking the myth about Mums evenings

Where, in the “Perfect Mother” guide, says you get to just devote to your children, partner and house, and neglect your personal interests?

To be fair, this results from hundreds and hundreds of years of control and humiliation women have been subjected to, and it doesn’t matter the cultural or religious background, we are most of the times expected to put an end to our individualities once we get married and have children.

Because we have been taught to be obedient, “good girls”, well behaved, not too loud, to sit, to be quiet…

You know? It is very well imprinted in our brains, and we as women are sadly passing on the same limiting belief to our daughters: that it’s okay to trade our personal priorities of leisure and entertainment for the title of “being a good wife and mother”.

But not anymore!

NEW BLOG POST‼️‼️

15 actions you can take today to nurture your inner child

We are born as joyful, free-spirited beings, that are easily amazed by a flying insect, the leaves falling down, or just the breeze touching our faces. But as we grow up, we are told to be “serious”, “mature”, “responsible” and to stop asking questions or doing the things that make us happy, because they are seen as “inappropriate”.

Little by little we are disconnected from our true nature selves, and we enter a downward spiral of competition, perfectionism, “success”, comparing to others, thinking what others might say or think about us, and never feeling enough... [and then we ask why there are so many adults suffering from anxiety and depression!].

Have you asked yourself what are the things that make your soul really full and joyful?

What if you start by reclaiming your inner child's back, no matter how grown up you are?

Read my latest post blog to find out what are the 15 actions that you can take NOW to nurture the little child within you. Link in the comments below.

Being a new parent can be one of the biggest, scariest responsibilities you will ever take on. Growing a whole new tiny person and keeping them alive can be anxiety inducing even for the most laid back. Am I holding them ok? Why are they crying? Am I doing any of this right?

As a society we have a major issue in supporting new mothers through this time, because many of us have lost sight of what new babies are really like. We have a habit of interpreting pretty normal baby behavior as something being wrong and needing fixing as it doesn't fit our societal norms about how we believe babies should behave.

Sharing this that I loved: 🥰

In a mother's womb were two babies. One asked the other: "Do you believe in life after birth?"
The other replied: "Of course. There must be something after childbirth. Maybe we are here to prepare for what we will be later."
"Nonsense," said the first. "There is no life after. What kind of life would that be? "
The second one said, "I don't know, but there will be more light than this. Maybe we'll walk with our legs and eat with our mouth. Maybe we will have other senses that we cannot comprehend now."
The first one replied: "That's absurd. Walking is impossible. And eat with our mouth? Ridiculous! The navel string provides nutrition and everything we need. But the navel string is so short. Life after childbirth is logically excluded."
The second insisted: "Well, I think there's something and maybe it's different than here." Maybe we don't need this physical navel string anymore."
The first replied: "Nonsense. And on top of that, if there is life, why has anyone ever come back from there? Birth is the end of life, and in the Hereafter there is nothing but darkness and silence and forgetfulness. It won't get us anywhere."
"Well, I don't know," said the second, "but we will surely meet Mother and she will take care of us."
The first one to answer: "Mother? Do you really believe in Mother? This is ridiculous. If Mother exists, where is She now? "
The second one said, "She's all around us. We are surrounded by her. We are from Her. It is in Her that we live . Without Her, this world wouldn't be possible and shouldn't exist."
The first one said: "Well, I don't see Her, so it's not more than logical that She doesn't exist."
To which the second answered: "Sometimes, when you are in silence and you concentrate and listen, you can perceive Her presence, and you can hear Her loving voice, calling from above to below."

Still enjoying this beautiful feeling!

"Sleep with your children, hug each other while you can under the covers, do not be afraid of that addiction.
Children are small only once, then when they grow up they will find their way and their spaces.
Sleep heart against heart, so much so that you feel their breath, because there is nothing more beautiful than this.
Enjoy their childhood and their company, love them as if the world were going to end today because tomorrow they will have grown up and you will think that you lacked time to hug them. "
