I was at the hairdresser today chatting with my friend - she lifts, eats REALLY well but knows she needs to eat more to fuel her training….
but she said, ‘It just feels like a lot of food.’

And honestly? I get it.
We’ve been drilled to believe ‘less is better.’
So when you finally try to eat for performance - real meals, more carbs, actual portions - it can feel wrong. Like you’re ‘overdoing it.’ 🤔

But here’s the truth:
➡️ You can’t build strength if you’re running on stress and snacks (or coffee!)
➡️ Your muscles need energy to grow, recover
and function.
➡️ Eating more isn’t overfeeding - it’s fueling.

If you’re strength training, working, parenting, living - your female body often needs more, not less.
More protein. More of the right carbs. More rest. More patience.

You’re not eating too much.
You’re finally eating enough. ❤️‍🔥

For years, I told myself I wasn’t hungry in the morning.
I’d fill up on coffee and tell myself fasting made me focused, lean, disciplined.

But if I’m being brutally honest?
I was under-nourished.
I wanted to be ‘lean,’
but I was holding myself back from getting strong.

The moment I started actually feeding my body 👉 not just caffeinating it 👉 everything changed.

My lifts went up ⬆️
My energy skyrocketed ⬆️
My body really started responding ⬆️

You can’t build strength on an empty tank.
Fuel up. Train hard. That’s where the real progress happens ✨

Now?
Breakfast is a non-negotiable. It’s such an important step in my day.
I keep it simple, speedy, nourishing and I make these on repeat 👇

✅ Banana pancakes - 1 egg, ⅓ cup oats, chia seeds, cinnamon & 1 banana - served with Greek yogurt + berries
✅ Stewed apple bowl - warm apples, mixed seeds, Greek yogurt & kefir
✅ Soaked oats + chia - prepped overnight with kefir, Greek yogurt & berries
✅ If I’m in a rush: an IQ Brain Protein Bar from HEALF (almond choc chip flavour 😉)

And yes - I’m still a massive advocate of fasting… just done right 🕒

So …. don’t laugh 🤦🏻‍♀️

I almost made myself cry writing this post as I feel so passionately about this NEXT PERIOD of life being our best yet and it captures EXACTLY how I’m feeling at the minute.

Stepping into my ‘power era’ feels like:

✨ less sweating the small stuff
✨ more freedom to choose how I want to live my life
✨ more wisdom and understanding of what makes me tick
✨ and feeling happy and brilliant in my own skin!

In my Core Balance classes I’m always harping on about letting go of what no longer serves you - the habits, people or thoughts that drain your energy and vitality.

I have reached that point where I realise - time isn’t a given. And this has made me pause, reflect and ask:

➡ what’s working?
➡ what’s not?
➡ and what do I want more of in this next chapter?

We get to take everything we’ve learned - all the resilience, the lessons, the strength - and rewrite this story exactly how we want it to go. I love the saying that WE are the authors of our own destiny - we are in the driving seat!

So THIS is our moment ladies. Let’s make this chapter a bloody amazing one 💫

Last night on my Find Your HAPI group call I asked, “Has anyone heard of fibermaxxing?”
Cue: mainly blank faces and a collective “Wait… is that a thing?” 😂

Turns out - they were already doing it.
30 plants a week 🌈
Mixing up colours, textures, seeds and grains (basically living the fibermaxx dream without even knowing it!)

Before the question of “Can you have too much of a good (fiber) thing?” was finished ✅ I was warning of the need to PACE the fibre introduction encouraging my group to start slow to give the gut bugs TIME to adjust to all that incoming fibre!

Could this be one of the rare wellness trends actually worth jumping on?
It’s a massive YES from me ✅ 🥦 ✨
