Fife Sailability

Fife Sailability Fife Sailability is a Club specifically for those with a disability, it is based at Lochore Meadows Watersports Centre in central Fife.

RYA

We operate as part of the Royal Yachting Association's Sailability initiative, facilitating the exhilaration and freedom that sailing can bring to all. We can mix & match gentle cruising, hands on sailing or formal training to suit individual needs and welcome groups or single participants. Parents and/or carers are welcome to share the experience. We supply essential safety equipment but visitors need to wear clothing suitable for a cool and rainy day. We have a dedicated changing/shower/toilet facility for our disabled participants. We are qualified to transfer sailors with our certified hoists and set high standards in safety and protection of vulnerable persons.

Once again, we would like to send a big thank you to the www.saildoctor.co.uk for repairing Kitty's Genoa (sail) free of charge. Their support is greatly appreciated. Our volunteers are busy making sure everything is ready for sailing next season and all the boat maintenance tasks are completed.

Thank you very much Saildoctor Ltd from all at Fife Sailability.

We have some sad news to report, a long time memeber, much loved Tariq has sadly passed away.

His mum wanted the funeral arrangements shared so other members know.

Our thoughts are with Tariq's family,

From all at Fife Sailability

Sharing this - if you can spare a few minutes to fill in feedback form about your visits to Lochore Meadows Country Park it would be very useful.

Hi. I see that there are lots of nice photos. Here is another photo.

A big thank you to the anonymous person who donated these gifts to everyone who took part in Saturday's adventure. These are the 2 for the ladies who were unable to make it. We are looking after them for you🙂

On the last day of our boating season we were delighted to welcome Campion Homes along to visit our club to present Fife Sailability a cheque for £3,000.

We were delighted to show them all of our boats in action and how our members get out on the water.

The money donated to Fife Sailability, which is a charity will enable the volunteers to keep the club running, maintain boats & kit.

The club is solely run by volunteers for its 45 members and 30 carers who attend on club days April to September.

Here are some photos of the presentation of the £3,000 cheque. Photo taken infront of our wheelyboat with Kitty sailing past behind and our Challenger sailing boats on the jetty.

The club greatly appreciates any support, no matter how big or small. Thankyou so much Campion Homes
