Two deep breaths can save you from spiralling in to a state of panic and fear, it is a simple act of self care throughout the day and helps you to work with your emotions and not against them.

Consistency matters far more than perfection when it comes to building healthy habits and supporting your overall wellbeing. Small, sustainable actions repeated regularly—like moving your body, eating nourishing foods, or setting aside time to rest—create lasting change, while chasing perfection often leads to burnout, frustration, or giving up altogether. Progress isn’t about never slipping up; it’s about showing up again and again, even when it feels imperfect. By focusing on consistency, you build momentum, resilience, and trust in yourself, which adds up to meaningful results over time.

Supporting wellbeing as a whole family means creating healthy habits together—physically, emotionally, and mentally. This can include staying active as a group, encouraging open communication, eating balanced meals, celebrating achievements, and making time for fun and relaxation. When everyone feels supported and valued, the whole family thrives.

Focus on three wins everyday …

A physical Win
A Spiritual Win
A Mental Win

Don’t overcomplicate it… keep it as simple as you need and build it into a habit you already do in your day.

The author is unknown on this one… but, I love this and it’s something I share with my own girls and anyone I work with.

Your superpower is your individuality and that holds great importance for all the relationships you have in life, especially the relationship you have with yourself!!! SO, make sure that you BE YOU TO THE FULL.

Much Love

Welcome

My name is Vik and I have created coffee, chill and spill as a resource for new mums to reach out to. After the birth of my second baby, I experienced severe anxiety; I found myself in a place I never thought I would be in and it was really scary and at times lonely. I really wanted to create a sense of community for new mums; A safe place to talk, or just to sit and have a little bit of focus on them. We have so many wonderful baby groups in the area (Stockport), but there is very little in the way of support for mums. We go through such a massive transition having a baby, and the main focus is on prenatal and birth care. However, recovery from birth and getting to grips with being a mummy were way harder than pregnancy for me. I have created this page, a closed Facebook group and also a Maternal well being group at Heaton Norris Community centre, that will run weekly. It will be open to mums who are feeling a little lost, isolated or just overwhelmed. A mother’s wellbeing is just as important as the baby’s wellbeing and I wanted to provide somewhere that supports that. Please do not hesitate to get in touch.
