The Elder Full Moon arrives this Friday - the final moon of the Celtic lunar year. A masculine moon of completeness, banishing and healing, it helps us release the old and step toward our potential.

This is the time to prepare for meeting your shadow self or co-walker - the part of you that walks in the otherworld and reflects who you’ve truly been this year.

After the Elder Moon comes the Secret of the Unhewn Stone, a sacred day outside of time where new potential begins to form.

To prepare:
- Set your altar to the west
- Gather a black candle and a white candle
- Reflect on what you’re ready to release and what wisdom you want to carry forward

The Elder Moon is a threshold — and it’s nearly here.

If the drum has been calling to you, come and follow me over on my new Wild Selkie Drums page where as well as still helping to offer drum birthing workshops at Caer Corhrain I will be supplying responsibly sourced hoops and animal hides.

Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of learning the art of Drum Birthing from Lynn Gosney at Caer Corhrain, as well as from the wisdom and guidance of Bruce Scott and Wendy Ruddick. From the quiet joy of birthing my own drums to seeing that unmistakable light in people’s eyes as they bring their own companions into the world during our workshops, this path has been unfolding before me.

As my journey continues, as well as still helping to offer Drum Birthing Workshops at Caer Corhrain, I am now preparing to offer drum-making supplies - including high-quality hides and solid wooden hoops.

I am excited to help more voices enter the world, see more connections form, and have more people experience the magic of birthing a drum.

Thank you to all those seen and unseen who joined me tonight in Heron for this weeks sound bath.

As we slowly settled down on the furs and entered the sacred grove, the sounds and vibrations filled the room and led us into the stillness of the night to find the rest we needed.
