It's and today we are sharing a story from one of the great people who have accessed our service.

💬 “I got to make my own choices and have experiences, like going to Willowdene day group and learning new skills and getting a certificate. It seems small and silly but when you don't have a lot and struggled at school small achievements make you feel great.

Vicki and the recovery work supported me practically, emotionally and mentally to make changes and I really feel without this I think the outcome for my children would have been different and I am still a part of their lives.”

Today is World Cerebral Palsy Day💚

At Musgrave Park Hospital, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, staff listened, adapted, and supported a patient with cerebral palsy every step of the way. Small acts of understanding made a big difference to her and her family.

When people share their experience of care, it is rarely a small thing. It takes courage, honesty, and trust.

At Care Opinion, we believe independence is what makes that trust possible. It reassures people that their voice is safe, their story is valued, and their words can spark change.

Independent feedback isn’t hidden away. It is open, transparent, and respectful — creating space for honesty, empathy, and improvement.

In a time when health and care services face enormous pressures, trust is fragile. But when people know they can share their experiences safely and openly, we all have the chance to listen, learn, and make care better.

This , we share a story of recovery after a heart attack. With rapid ambulance response, expert care at RVH, and support including cardiac rehabilitation, they were able to regain confidence, return to an active lifestyle & manage their heart health.

Last week we celebrated a huge milestone — five years of Care Opinion in Northern Ireland

We gathered with colleagues, partners, and friends from across the health and social care system to reflect on everything that listening has made possible. We heard stories from every Trust about how they’re using Care Opinion to learn, improve and recognise the people who deliver care every day.
It was a powerful reminder that feedback — when truly listened to — can build trust, shape culture, and lead to real change.
