EST. 2011, the very first Traditional Thai therapeutic massage in the West of Scotland นวดแผนไทย
Our philosophy is that we have to prioritise our health over everything else and we should be mindful, aware of what our bodies and minds are telling us. Our services at Thamma focus on treatments for health, aches and pains, chronic conditions, body realignment, blood circulation, prevention of injuries, and energy flow, as well as helping with relaxation and stress relief. We also try to identify connections between people’s experiences and the teachings of Buddha (Dharma or Thamma in Thai). We have developed treatments which integrate conventional and alternative approaches with the aim of resolving problems and preventing their recurrence. Our ultimate goal is to promote a mindful and optimal health philosophy to our customers and within the community.

Thamma Advent Calendar 🎄🎄
Opening a window every day and getting a reward is a traditional path on the way to Christmas.
Why not do a small something for yourself everyday on the same path? Walk to the shop instead of driving, do an online yoga session, leave the crisps in the cupboard one night, connect with a friend you haven’t seen for a while for a chat or a coffee or lunch, …
24 wee actions that lead to a fab Christmas. That’s a great reward for yourself!
And if you miss a day, don’t feel guilty, you can always make it up the next!

On being busy🥵
We’re looking forward to our upcoming holiday. It’s been a busy time for us and a recharge is definitely needed. 🙏
Depending on who you talk to, being busy can be seen as either a positive or a negative. Let’s take the middle way and say it’s just another state of being, to be faced and worked through step by step. It makes us the people we are. Enjoy the journey everyone! 🙏
🌞We'll be on holiday 22nd - 28th October🌞

We've just finished another private course this month. It all seems to be coming together, taking shape. Our idea for this year's workshops was to share knowledge gained from over 16 years of ancient Thai therapeutic massage experience in Scotland to our loyal customers so they can help care for their loved ones. We're also trying to gradually change attitudes towards Thai massage. A lot of people have the wrong idea of its purpose.
Our last workshop almost had to be called off at the last minute, but having promised that we would teach even if there were only two participants left, today's class was tailored to the couple's specific needs. We taught the wife how to massage her husband, who suffers from chronic back pain, and the husband how to care for his wife, who suffers from plantar fasciitis, using the ten-energy-line concept and our Signature massage techniques, "TAN Holistic Therapy", developed by our beloved instructor from Germany, Master Tan.
The course ended beautifully, filled with laughter and perseverance from both participants. The feedback was excellent, and it's led us to think about developing more private bespoke courses like this because it's so direct and perfectly meets the specific needs of the average person who has no knowledge of massage. All we need is for you to be open to learning and practicing the art of anceint Thai massage. We're proud that we've reached this point.
Our patients see our Thai massage as a holistic treatment, not a pampering approach as they once thought. 🙏

Est. 2011, the very first Traditional Thai therapeutic massage in the West of Scotland by professionally qualified Thai therapist.
Traditional Thai Massage by Moonie was established in Kilbirnie, North Ayrshire in 2011. It started small but has grown year on year through word-of-mouth recommendations. This journey has led us to our new premises in Lochwinnoch, Renfrewshire, and with our new premises comes our new name, Thamma Thai Wellness.
I remember learning how to massage my grandparents when I was small, regularly helping to ease their aches and pains; I could see even then that nuad Thai gave people a better quality of life. Through formal study in Thailand, I developed my skills further, and deepened my understanding of the importance of nuad Thai in our culture, the part it plays in healing and in improving our wellbeing.
My philosophy is that we have to prioritise our health over everything else and we should be mindful, aware of what our bodies and minds are telling us.
Learning nuad Thai and its associated therapies is not a finite task; I continue to study to this day. I attend courses in Europe and have regular discussions with my nuad Thai teachers in Germany and Thailand. I also collaborate closely with Thai massage therapists in Europe and this provides invaluable support to my learning. As I have gained experience I have been fortunate to receive invitations to devise and teach courses and workshops on different elements of nuad Thai.
Through my learning, training and experience, I have developed treatments which integrate conventional and alternative approaches with the aim of resolving problems and preventing their recurrence. My ultimate goal is to promote a mindful and optimal health philosophy to my customers and within the community.
This is a professional Traditional Thai therapeutic treatment with a fully qualified and insured therapists. We provides loose-fitting clothes for our treatments, but please feel free to bring your own.
