📚 Phase Transfer & EHCP Deadlines

Phase transfer is when a child or young person moves between stages of education, including:

➡️ Early years education → school
➡️ Infant → junior school
➡️ Primary → middle school
➡️ Primary → secondary school
➡️ Middle → secondary school
➡️ Secondary → post-16

Legal deadlines you need to know..

🔹 This process must start within 12 months of a transfer to a new phase of education.

🔹 Secondary → Post-16
📅 The EHCP must be reviewed and amended by 31 March in the year of transfer.

🔹 All other phase transfers
📅 The EHCP must be reviewed and amended by 15 February in the year of transfer.

These deadlines are set out in Regulation 18 of the Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014.

Video Gaming Club Online 🎮

It is National Puzzle Day, and our Virtual Youth Centre even has a space dedicated to problem solving, including our Escape House where young people work together to gather clues and unlock each room.

Our Video Gaming Club runs every Tuesday from 7pm to 8.30pm and is open to young people aged 13 to 19 across Essex. It is a relaxed online space to play, problem solve and spend time with others. ⭐
