Members of the team had a great evening meeting potential Maintenance Engineering Apprentices.

With over 40 local employers and 1,000+ students and parents attending, there was a real buzz throughout the event. We spoke with 30+ students and parents at our stand about Ulster Carpets, what a Mechanical Maintenance Apprentice does, and how they can combine education with hands-on experience to achieve Level 2 & 3 qualifications.

Brilliant to see so much interest in the apprenticeship and trade route as an alternative to university.

Today we were delighted to welcome Sonia Moore from People 1st, who visited us with six students 👋

People 1st supports young people in training, and as part of their OCN Level 1 Retail qualification, the students learn about the stages of the supply chain — from raw materials to finished products, including logistics, warehousing, and managing the flow of goods.

It was great to show them our processes and give them a real insight into how it all works in practice!
