A big thank you to the wonderful team from ECS Systems Ltd who visited us to deliver some fang-tastic Halloween treats for our children and young people.

Your kindness and support brighten our wards all year round, and today your spooky cheer made Halloween spook-tacular. 🎃

Our newly refreshed LGT Green Plan (2025-28) is now available💚

This is a roadmap for how we make LGT a more sustainable organisation, while continuing to provide the best possible care for our patients.

Dr Neil Goulbourne, Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer & Deputy CEO said: “There is a lot of great sustainability work to celebrate across LGT, being done by some very passionate colleagues who are making a real impact. But we are more aware than ever of the challenges we collectively face environmentally. Climate change is having a very real impact on health inequalities, which places additional pressure on our services and disproportionately affects the most vulnerable in our communities. The work we’re doing now, and in the coming years, to reduce our emissions and our costs, will make a very meaningful difference to our service users, our local community and colleagues for generations to come.”

Huge thanks to everyone who joined our Macmillan Coffee Morning and Raffle at QEH and UHL.

Together we raised £2,604 for Macmillan Cancer Support helping to fund vital care for our patients.

Special thanks and sending whole latte love to our amazing GI Support Group, who support us every year, as well as to all the volunteers and sponsors who made it all possible!

It was a brew-tiful day. ☕💙

TeamLGT celebrated Black History Month with our first Women, Children and Sexual Health (WCSH) Health Equity and Pride Awards.

We were proud to honour colleagues who drive change, champion inclusion, and improve health outcomes across our services.

A huge thank you to Nina Khazaezadeh, Regional Chief Midwife for London, and to everyone who shared reflections on our Messages of Power and Pride wall, from “LGT and proud” and “Changing and challenging the narrative” to “If nothing else, just be kind.” 👏

Congratulations to all our award winners and nominees.

We have a brand new member of Team LGT joining us soon and they will be bringing lots of fun and raising lots of awareness of our Trust Charity😸

There is a small problem though, they don’t have a name yet!

Could you help us choose one?

We’d love your suggestions as this big, blue, floofy bundle of energy will soon be starting their important work alongside our Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust Charity team💙

If have a little one who would like to take part to help us name our LGT Charity Mascot, please help them complete: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/e/hc7j3CCJju

The competition ends on Sunday at 5pm

We’re celebrating today with our second ‘LGT AHPs Inspire’ event at UHL!✨

Our amazing Allied Health Professional colleagues and support workers come from a wide range of roles including: Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Operating Department Practitioners, Paramedics, Podiatrists, Radiographers, Dietitians and Speech and Language Therapists.

Along with our special guest speakers, Dr Harriet Shannon and Professor Miranda Lomer, we’re hearing about the projects, innovation and research making a huge difference to our patients and local communities.

The theme for AHPs’ Day 2025 is the 3 shifts: hospital to community; treatment to prevention; and analogue to digital. All areas AHPs will play a vital role in.

Thank you to everyone involved in this brilliant event, for the work behind the scenes and for those coming together to share their experiences.

We'll be sharing more from the day soon - keep a look out!
