GETTING OUTDOORS // I was out on a lovely walk in Wotton under Edge recently as it is so important for me and my health and well-being to get out in to countryside on a regular basis. And it reminded me of some research that I found. Did you know that people that spend two hours a week in green spaces are substantially more likely to report good health and psychological wellbeing than those who don’t? This was based on a study of 20,000 people completed by Matthew White at the European Centre for Environment & Human Health at the University of Exeter in June 2019. Not rocket science but it’s good to be reminded that there is definite benefit for getting out there. That is definitely why I ended up moving to live in this funky but beautiful little town, it is so close to countryside and I can just pop out for a walk in my lunch break. How can you find those two hours a week to connect and ground yourself?
