A reflection I felt called to share
❤️✨️❤️
Lately I’ve been reminded that healing and integration don’t follow a timeline, and they don’t always look the way we expect.
Sometimes growth looks like:
• needing more rest than usual
• feeling emotionally tender
• listening to the body instead of pushing through
• letting go of guilt around slowing down
True healing often happens after the big moments, not during them. It’s in the quiet days, the naps we allow ourselves, the boundaries we honour, and the compassion we offer our own nervous system.
One of the biggest lessons has been this:
When we stop forcing ourselves to “be better” and instead listen, the body knows exactly how to recalibrate.
Rest is not laziness.
Sensitivity is not weakness.
Slowing down is not going backwards.
If you’re feeling tired, foggy, emotional, or out of sync, you’re not broken. You may simply be integrating, releasing, or rebalancing.
Gentle practices, hydration, breath, time in nature, and self kindness go a long way. And sometimes the most healing thing we can do is give ourselves permission to pause.
If this resonates, trust your body, it’s wiser than we’re taught to believe ❤️✨️❤️
