Super strong magnets can rip through a child’s gut if they swallow them, causing life-threatening injuries.

The magnets stick together inside the body and cut off the blood supply, causing tissue to die.

Children may need complex surgery to remove the magnets and some experience life-changing internal injuries, like needing part of their bowel removed or requiring a stoma.

The programme is aimed at improving the emotional health of adults and children
by strengthening family relationships. It will provide parents with new skills for listening to and communicating with their children as well as developing an understanding of behaviour in relationships.

Don’t be tempted to pour or store cleaning products in different containers. This can confuse adults and children too. Especially if it’s in container they recognise, like a water bottle.
