Social media house rules:
We use our Bradford District and Craven Healthy and Care Partnership (BDC HCP) social media pages to share news, health information, and updates about our services, and to listen to your feedback. We welcome comments and engagement — but to keep our pages safe, respectful, and supportive for everyone, we ask that all users follow these house rules:
1. Be respectful
Please be polite and respectful to others. We will remove or hide any comments that:
- Contain abusive, offensive, or discriminatory language
- Are threatening, harassing, or defamatory
- Target or name individual staff members or patients
- Include swearing or inappropriate images
2. Protect your privacy
For your own safety, please don’t share personal or medical information (such as patient details, addresses, phone numbers, or NHS numbers) on our public pages.
3. No spam or promotion
We do not allow:
- Spam or repeated posting of the same message
- Advertising, self-promotion, or commercial content of financial gain that isn’t relevant to our audiences
- Links to external sites that aren’t relevant to our work
4. Accuracy and moderation
We do our best to share accurate and up-to-date information. However, our social media channels are not monitored 24/7 and should not be used for urgent medical advice. If you or someone else needs medical help:
- Call 999 in an emergency
- Visit 111.NHS.uk for urgent but non-life-threatening advice
- Contact your GP for general medical concerns
We reserve the right to hide or delete comments, block users, or report content that breaks these rules.
5. Availability
Our social media accounts are usually monitored during office hours (e.g., Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm). Messages or comments received outside these times will be reviewed as soon as possible on the next working day. By following these house rules, you help us keep our pages a safe, supportive space for everyone. We appreciate your cooperation and engagement.
