After a very very long break with the pandemic, the group will be starting up again next month. Last Wednesday of the month but at the earlier time of 5pm instead of 6pm. Same place Nightingale House next to Whiston hospital.

So sad to let you all know that we lost my beloved dad last night.
Two months ago he moved into Eccleston Court care home because he was struggling at home. He settled in straight away and they looked after him as they would their own family.
Unfortunately we were not able to see him for four weeks because of the lockdown. We had to make do with phone calls and visits to his window.
When the time came, the restrictions meant only one person was allowed in. So that was me and I spent the last 24 hours with him until he just slipped away.
Dad and I gained so much from coming to the group over the years and I hope that sharing our experience has helped others.
I hope to see you all again soon when all this madness is over

Saturday 22nd September. Nightingale House. 1030-1230. We are looking to extend our group to support and welcome other cancer groups. This will be an informal gathering for patients and relatives at any stage of treatment. Free parking and refreshments will be provided on the day.
