World Stroke Day: Raise Awareness, Save Lives

Today is World Stroke Day. Strokes can happen to anyone, at any time.

One in four strokes affect working-age adults, and around 400 children in the UK have a stroke each year.

Recognise the signs of a Stroke:
• Face – Can they smile? Does one side droop?
• Arms – Can they lift both arms? Is one weak?
• Speech – Is their speech slurred or muddled?
• Time – Time to call

Some people may also experience sudden loss of balance or coordination, or a sudden change or loss of vision.
