Lee Edwards, a Bowel Screening Officer at the Scottish Bowel Screening Programme, recently held an event in honour of his Mum who sadly passed away 10 years ago due to cancer.
Over £1,000 was donated in her memory to the Oncology Ward at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. Well done Lee, a brilliant donation to a wonderful cause. We are all very proud of you.

A huge well done to Lee Edwards who organised a fundraiser at the Douglas Recreational Club in loving memory of his mum💜

This year marks 10 years since her passing, and in her honour Lee raised an amazing £1,030 for Ward 32 (Oncology) – the very ward that cared for his mum with such compassion.

If you’re experiencing any persistent symptoms that are unusual for you, such as lumps, blood or unexplained weight loss, your GP practice wants to hear from you.
Because the earlier you find cancer, the more treatment options are available, increasing your chances of living well again.
If your are between 50-74 years of age please contact the Scottish Bowel Screening Centre on 0800 0121 833 for your 2 yearly test.
