When we drive slowly, it’s not to inconvenience anyone; it’s a mark of respect for a life that has been lived and loved. Every family deserves the dignity of travelling together, undisturbed, for those few precious miles.

Please, if you encounter a cortege, take a breath, slow down, and allow it to pass peacefully. One day, it could be someone you love taking their final journey and I’m sure you’d hope for the same respect.

Today, we mark the 80th anniversary of Victory Over Japan Day, remembering the end of the war in the Asia-Pacific region and those who served and sacrificed in the Second World War.

So... last week, I did a thing. A big thing.
I officiated my very first wedding.
Now, those who know me know that I don’t often promote the wedding side of what I do and honestly, I’m not sure why! But this beautiful couple put their trust in me for one of the most important days of their lives, and for that, I’ll be forever grateful.

Their ceremony was full of love, laughter, and everything you could hope for in a wedding day and I’m beyond touched to have received such a kind review on Google afterwards.

So here’s to new beginnings… not just for them, but for me too. Maybe it’s time to say “I do” to more weddings!
