The Aligned and Intentional Community space is designed to help you feel calmer, clearer & more yourself.

✨️ The Spring Equinox represents a time of renewal & growth so this feels like the perfect time to open the community ✨️

Our first group session will then be on 31st March at 7pm. We'll focus on reconnecting with ourselves, learning a little about how perimenopause affects our threat system, & what we can do to support our wellbeing.

Each monthly group session will have a different focus.

February seemed to go by very quickly & looking back on the month shows why!

• Started with three days of Compassion Focused Therapy training that were intense but brilliant.

• Delivered a Self‑Compassion in Perimenopause workshop for an organisation with some fab initial feedback (& hoping for the formal feedback soon!).

• Shifted my focus more intentionally towards perimenopause, choosing to follow my intuition in what often feels like a very noisy world.

• Really listened to feedback & realised that many of the women I want to support don’t have the time, energy or finances for a six‑month programme.

• So began building The Aligned and Intentional Community - an online space for women in perimenopause to feel supported, understood & connected.

• Went to three networking events & spent time with amazing women doing incredible things.

• Started building a new website as well as the online community space (slowly but surely!).

• Worked my usual NHS days (two days per week) full of home visits & related admin.

• Spent a gorgeous half‑term in Berlin with my favourites.

• Celebrated special 80th & 40th birthdays in the family & enjoyed lots of baby nephew cuddles.

• Prioritised time for me: walks & outdoors weights sessions in all weather, yoga in the studio, & essential rest with lots of early nights. The sun appearing & seeing crocuses everywhere brought so much joy.

So many of you have told me you want support, but don’t have the time, energy, or finances for a long programme. That’s why I’m creating a more flexible, accessible online space.

I'm a little quieter on here at the moment because there's a lot happening behind the scenes!

A new website is on the way & I can't wait to share it with you when it's ready.

You'll also start to see more of a focus on perimenopause here. The more women I speak with, the clearer it becomes how needed this work is. This a time to realign, learn to treat ourselves with kindness, & to shape our next chapter with intention.

I know how powerful this work is because I've lived it. I was my own worst critic for years, but I know life can be different & that we can learn to be more compassionate towards ourselves.

I send one reflection prompt every Sunday morning & each email focuses on creating space for you.

This week was about noticing the rest you really need (not the rest you think you should have).

These prompts are how I help people start to untangle overwhelm, burnout, and the pattern of always putting everyone else first.

Some people work through them on their own. Others realise they need more support. The emails are a starting point.

Does your inner critic tell you things like this?

Do you even notice or is it just background noise now because it's always there?

It took me a long time to realise my critic wasn't telling the truth. I know now that you can learn to respond differently when you notice that voice.

When a one to one client started working with me, their negative self talk was automatic & constant. At the end of our time together she said "I very rarely talk about myself in a negative way now".

Life is hard, but having a loud & strong inner critic makes it harder.

In the Aligned and Intentional Programme, you'll learn to notice your critic & understand it. You'll learn a new way to respond & practice with support as you build a kinder relationship with yourself.

Information doesn't equal change.

Knowing you "should" rest doesn't help you actually stop without guilt. Understanding you have an inner critic doesn't make it shut up at 3am. And reading about boundaries doesn't help you say no without a long explanation.

You don't need more information. You need someone to help you make this work in YOUR life.

There's a difference between consuming content & doing the work.

Two more women in the past two days have told me the same story of not being heard when asking for help.

I'm so grateful I was listened to by my GP & offered a trial of HRT when I was 39. I know it's not right for everyone but it's been amazing for me for the past couple of years.

We shouldn't have to struggle through, feel alone & unsupported, or feel lost as we go through this natural stage of life. It makes me so angry.

If you're struggling to be heard, please keep asking for support. Symptom checklists can be helpful to share & guide a conversation.

Yes other things need to be checked out but we also need to be listened & not fobbed off, & especially not because of our age.

The more we talk about it, hopefully the more will change.

I have 100% faith in my skills & how I can help people. I absolutely know I hold space & support people to build lives they love & to move from exhaustion to balance.

But standing up & selling my services still feels uncomfortable. Every day feels like another step outside my comfort zone & it's hard. In so many ways it would be easier to stay hidden.

But I keep showing up & learning because I know the importance & joy of moving from mindless doing to intentional being.

I know what it's like living on the other side, in a place of calm & clarity, after so long doing all the things I thought I should be doing.

And I know I can help others get to this place of knowing what's most important & living with intention.

Unlearning old habits & creating new roles & routines is not an easy process & not a quick one. I know I need to keep showing up & taking the action that feels difficult.

We're all a work in progress.

That's why my support on the programme is six months & is designed to set you on a path of taking small steps that will continue to lead to the changes you want.

If any of this resonates, please know you're not alone.
