ShopMobility is a leading charity-run mobility hire service in the UK

You can find our local Uxbridge branch within The Chimes Shopping Centre to access affordable manual wheelchairs, powered scooters and more. Our friendly and helpful team of staff and volunteers will help you choose exactly the right equipment to suit your needs and abilities and provide you with tuition on using it safely and

confidently. Based in the car park of “intu Uxbridge” shopping centre, we have 22 electric scooters, 6 powerchairs, 20 manual wheelchairs and a 4 wheeled walker with a seat. You can even use our services when we are closed! There are special wheelchairs and small electric scooters available for holiday hire at a very reasonable charge. So go ahead and enjoy planning your next trip, either to Uxbridge town or farther afield. We are open Monday to Saturday between the hours of 9.15am and 4.30pm (last hire 3.00pm)

Please note that this website can be viewed by anyone so we advise that you do not include phone numbers or email addresses in your message. You can also give the office a call on 01895 271510. We are also very happy to visit local groups and societies to give talks and demonstrations of the service.

Thankfully, the weather is looking good for the next couple of days. If you’re wondering how to make the most of being outdoors this week, here’s what we recommend:

❤️ Grab a bite to eat at a cosy cafe, hidden in the peaceful surroundings of nature at Fassnidge Park.

❤️ Meet new people and attend a free group walk, through Rockingham Park and Fassnidge Park. Friday 20 March 2026, 11 am to 12 pm, starting outside Uxbridge Library.

Mother’s Day has many different meanings. For some, it’s a day about celebrating those you love, in appreciation for their influence, their sacrifices and the ways they shaped us into who we are.
