Achievement motivation, it is what drives us forward and allows us (or holds us back) from achieving our goals and desires. Our mindset and personalities can have a huge impact in this area, and my latest blog goes a little deeper into the why this is and what we can do about it to give us the best chance of succeeding. Have a read an d please let me know what you think and if this has been helpful.

We all know exercise is good for us. It's a fact! Our bodies are built to move and like a finely tuned machine if we do that we will reap the benefits of exercise.

In my new blog I go into detail about some of these benefits, but also let you all know a bit more about my own fitness journey and the ups and downs I've faced along the way and how I have experienced a lot of these benefits first hand.

Please enjoy and I hope you find it not only interesting, but motivational too. There is obviously more to my journey, but this blog is it in a nut shell so far, I am looking forward to its next chapter.

Also I'd love to hear about your fitness journeys so feel free to share them.

There are many reasons people decide to change their lifestyles to incorporate healthier habits. Some of these include a health scare where lifestyle is a major contributing factor, clothes not fitting, not liking what you see in the mirror, or simply being unable to physically keep up with the kids are just a few. But change takes time and the process must be understood and respected.

My latest blog explains why it is important to be ready to make a change, what the basic process is that needs to occur for success and why 80% of us fail when attempting to implement changes to our lives. This process isn't just for making changes to our diets and activity levels, but it is relevant to all changes we make, this can be in our personal lives, jobs, or simply in ourselves.

If you are looking to make positive changes to your lives or have tried and been unsuccessful in the past then understanding the stages of change model could be the difference between you succeeding next time, or having the same results as before! Please have a read and let me know what you think 😎

Question?

What was your last New Year Resolution and did you make it past February? Please let me know, because if you didn't achieve it and still want to I'd be happy to help.

It happens every year. January the 1st. "I'm going to get fit and lose some body fat by exercising and eating healthier foods." We have not put the ground work in, no thought, no planning, just an impulsive decision. This is why 80% don't make it to February. Not a lack of wanting too, just not being mentally ready to make a change.

So I say to you, if you are wanting to improve your mental and physical health, why wait until January, why not start planning for it now! The New Year is just 3 months away, come January you will be well on your way to a fitter, healthier you!

DM me if you would like to know more about My Weigh and how I can help you achieve your goals and not be another contributor to that 80% statistic! Remember, failure isn't a bad thing as long as we learn why we didn't succeed. If we keep making the same mistakes however, that is just a waste of our time (and money). To see change, we need to make changes!

Check out my latest blog at www.gcpersonaltraining.co.uk. This covers how my wife and I completed the Isle of Wight challenge back in 2017, the highs and the lows and the harsh realities of completing an ultra challenge physically and mentally. I hope you enjoy and if so, please let me know your thoughts. Also if you have ever completed one of these challenges then let me know if you can relate to any of these experiences.
