My new monograph herb- Galium aparine, also known as goose grass and cleavers, which is now sprouting up all over! Do you remember sticking this to your friends when you were young? (It’s common name round here- sticky Jack!).
I bet you didn’t know this plant is one of the best natural lymphatic system cleansers there is, and can help heal a huge array of health conditions, from swollen lymph nodes, skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis and pneumonia, rheumatism and gout! It is so green and fresh smelling- you can just tell it will cleanse the system! If you’re wanting an internal ‘spring clean’ which will also help with weight loss, simply pick some cleavers, wash and crush them a little, then soak in water overnight in the fridge and drink every day with fresh lemon🍋 ❤️🌿

Meet meadowsweet, Queen of the Meadow’, a native herb of the British Isles that grows in great swathes in Northumberland! This plant single- handedly started the pharmaceutical industry as its active constituent, salicylic acid was the basis of aspirin, the first ever pharmaceutical drug-the name itself comes from meadowsweet’s old Latin name ‘Spireaea’ ulmaria. She loves to get her feet wet so you can find her near rivers, ditches, meadows and woods.
Used for centuries to treat digestive problems such as GERD, heartburn, dyspepsia and stomach ulcers, it is also effective for treating arthritis. It is anti inflammatory (reduces inflammation) analgesic (reduces pain) anti pyretic (reduces fever) and much more. If you smell the stem of meadowsweet you will smell a savlon smell! A beautiful herb with gorgeous honey smelling flowers- you can pick them on a summer’s day and make a simple tea, to ease your tummy upsets, relieve headache and other aches and pains too 🌿❤️
